Sharing the role of our Breakfast Club Manager are Mrs Karen Cull and Mrs Marie Davison, who are supported each morning by Mrs Rahena Rashid.
Welcome to the Mytchett Primary Academy Early Bird Club – the ‘before school’ club offering quality childcare for Mytchett Primary Academy pupils (Reception – Year 6) from 7.30 am until 8.40 am Mondays to Fridays. Please note, however, that the Early Bird Club does not run during school holidays or on INSET Days.
The club is situated in the Dining Room where children are looked after by qualified members of staff, and can participate in any of the activities on offer daily, before joining others in the class at 8.40am. The daily charge is £5 per child and includes breakfast. Doors open at 7.30am and children must be signed in by the person bringing them. Breakfast consists of toast with various spreads, a vast choice of cereals, fruit and various drinks including fruit juice. The breakfast club is part of the ‘Healthy Schools Programme’.
The Early Bird Club has a strict adult/child ratio and is only able to cater for a maximum of 16 children. Should you wish your child/children to attend, kindly make a booking through Scopay or contact the school office. Payment can be made online through Scopay or childcare vouchers, which may be available through your employer.
The club does not have facilities to look after children who are unwell and therefore we ask you to fill in a contact/medical sheet for each child giving us information of any medical/dietary issues, together with contact numbers of at least two people who would be able to collect your child in the event of an emergency between 7.30am and 8.40 am. These may well be different contacts or phone numbers from the ones held in the School Office which are used during ‘school’ hours.
Please note that the minimum daily charge is £5. Refunds will only be given if the school has to close the Breakfast Club and not for any other absence, such as sickness or holiday. Should you have any queries, please contact the school office on 01252 544009.
Please be aware that parking in the staff car park is NOT allowed as teachers are arriving at this time.
