We were inspected on 17th and 18th June 2025 and are delighted that Mytchett Primary & Nursery Academy was judged to have maintained its good standards and that the inspection recognised the collective efforts of the Kite team at Mytchett in ensuring the school continues to move from strength to strength.

Some of the highlights from the report include:

  • The Inspector’s recognition of the ambitious and extensive curriculum delivered at Mytchett, which develops pupils’ curiosity and concentration effectively, and ensures they are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
  • The Inspector’s observation that all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are proud and happy members of the Mytchett family.
  • Pupils’ enjoyment of school is evident.
  • The school’s high expectations for pupils’ academic and wider success, with the Inspector noting the wide-ranging opportunities for pupils to develop personally and become mature citizens.
  • Our Mytchett pupils demonstrate positive attitudes to learning, high levels of confidence and respect, and a strong understanding of equality and equity – all with a warm smile for their friends and staff!
  • The realisation of our Kite vision - for every pupil to be happy and healthy, to contribute positively to their communities and achieve academic excellence – shine through in the report findings, along with the hallmark of our Kite values of positivity, integrity, resilience, respect and aspiration.
